Your family is the legal employer of any helper we place, our price is by quote, and our guarantee gives you one free replacement within 6 months of handover. The answers below use our own confirmed policies and the Immigration Department's (JIM) rules, last checked on 4 November 2026.
Who is the legal employer of the maid?
Your family. The helper is employed by your family, never by us or by any company in our group. We place the helper and help you with the steps.
Who can hire a foreign domestic helper?
Under JIM's rules, a household needs children under 15 or a sick or ill parent; a Muslim employer may employ only a Muslim helper; and a bankrupt person cannot apply. JIM also sets income levels. Our step-by-step guide has the detail.
Can I hire a maid without an agency?
JIM's page says that for helpers from countries other than Indonesia, an employer may apply personally, with a declaration form, or through a registered agency. A helper from Indonesia must be hired through a Malaysia Recruitment Agency working with an Indonesian placement agency.
How much does it cost to hire a maid?
Our price is by quote, because it depends on your family's situation. Ask on WhatsApp.
What happens if it does not work out?
Our guarantee runs for 6 months from the day the helper is handed over to your family. Within that period you get one free replacement. There is no refund: the guarantee is a replacement only. See replacement and guarantee.
Can you promise a start date?
No. Visas, medical checks and approvals are decided by the authorities, so we do not promise a date, a particular helper or the result of any check.
