Privacy notice

What Maids in Malaysia collects when you message us or visit this website, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to use your rights.

1. Who we are

Maids in Malaysia is a trading name of Agensi Pekerjaan Genesis Life Care Sdn Bhd (PEA Licence B No. 1681), which is the company responsible for your personal data. Address: Unit 26-01-01, 26th floor, Centro, No.8, Kawasan 16, Jalan Batu Tiga Lama, 41300 Klang, Selangor D.E. Malaysia. Company no. 202401046369.

2. What we collect

  • When you message us on WhatsApp: your WhatsApp number and name, and what you write to us. The message arrives with a short reference code so we know which page you came from.
  • If you use our quote form: your name, mobile number, area, the service you want, who lives in your household (adults, children, older family members), an optional preferred nationality, and a note. We do not ask for IC or passport copies or your address on the form.
  • When you visit this website: pages viewed, clicks on WhatsApp links, approximate location, browser and device, through Google Analytics.

We do not collect personal data about helpers on this website.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer you and tell you whether and how we can help with hiring a domestic helper.
  • To make a quote and explain the steps.
  • To keep a record of your enquiry so a consultant can follow up.
  • To see which pages help families, and improve the site.
  • To follow the law (employment agency licensing, immigration and tax rules).

4. Messages and automated help

A named Agensi consultant answers hiring enquiries. Messages to our WhatsApp number may get an automatic first reply or notice, and an automated assistant may draft answers for the consultant to check.

5. Updates and follow-ups

We only send follow-up updates if you ticked the follow-up box on our quote form or agreed when we asked on WhatsApp. You can say STOP at any time and we will stop.

6. Who we share it with

Only as far as needed, and never sold:

  • Our service providers: Meta (WhatsApp), Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (our records, in Singapore), Google (analytics) and Cloudflare (our domain).
  • Government bodies when the law requires.
  • Professional advisers, under confidentiality.

7. Outside Malaysia

Our records are stored in a database hosted in Singapore. Google (analytics), Meta (WhatsApp) and Vercel (website hosting) also process data outside Malaysia. By messaging us, filling in our form or using this website, you agree that your personal data may be handled in Singapore and in other countries where these providers operate.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for 2 years from the date you contact us, placement records for 7 years after the contract ends, and website analytics for 14 months.

9. How we protect it

Access is limited to the consultants who need it, and data is sent over encrypted connections.

10. Your rights

You may ask to see your personal data, correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to stop using it for a purpose. Message us on WhatsApp or write to enquiries@genesiscare.com.my. We reply within 21 days.

11. Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. You can block them in your browser settings.
